Throwback Month #5 - The Island's 2011 - 2012 YouTube!

Heya' Fellys!

Time for another Throwback Month post!

Today, we will be looking at some of the YouTube videos from The Island's old channel, "Theislandofficial"!

The first video we'll be taking a look at was the very first video uploaded to the channel, uploaded on October 28th, 2011. It showcases an early preview of Karate Nibiru, before the Element Dojo was thought of! This is why Downtown had the entrance to the dojo, not the element dojo:

The next video we will be looking at is a sneak peek of the Element Party, uploaded on November 28th, 2011. This video shows early designs of the Wind & Fire Dojo, as well as a preview of how the Shopping Plaza & Marina looked for the Element Party.

Next is one of The Island's few shorts, Felly and the Felind, about a Felly looking at a Felnid. I can't explain it, I barely remember what it was supposed to mean story-wise, but, here it is:

Next video showcases a sneak peek of a scrapped party that I had worked on for a while back in early 2012- The Space Expedition. In the end, at the time, it was too much for me to draw, so I cancelled it in favor of the Crab Party instead. The Space Expedition was going to allow you to visit all planets except for Earth, and all the planets had 5 different rooms on it. Back then, that was way too much for me to draw with the limited time I had (35 exclusive party rooms to draw! That's still kind of a lot to this day.)

Strangely, with this next video, it was uploaded on February 27th, 2012, and was titled "Happy birthday The Island! February 27th, 2011 - February 27th, 2012", I'm sure you all know the problem with the title- The Island opened on the 28th, not the 27th! Nevertheless, the video shows more of the Space Expedition, as well as some other unseen, scrapped projects.

And that's all for the videos! If you want to see all of the videos yourselves, click here!

Come back tomorrow for another edition of Throwback Month!
