On This Day: July 19th

Heya' Fellys!

To a lot of Fellys, July 19th was always an awesome day for The Island! There's 2 specific years that stand out when you see this date, 2012 & 2016. Some of you may wonder why that is, so here's a little throwback to what's happened on this day, 9 and 5 years ago!

July 19th, 2012

On July 19th, 2012, The Island threw a huge party for Salaman's newest Karate game, Karate Fire!

The party was heavily advertised, being seen on YouTube videos, like this one!

While the quality may be poor, it does also show a room that went unused- The interior of the Firetruck. While I don't remember why exactly I never used it, it definitely doesn't matter as much since the party itself was bigger than most of the other ones that year.

Speaking of Karate Fire, the game also launched on July 19th, and as with every other karate game, came with a brand new room- the Fire Dojo!

And of course, Kuzon made his debut!

As of today, exactly 9 years since the Festival of Fire, there hasn't been another one of them, and will most likely stay that way- It wouldn't be as awesome with all the new & iconic stuff it included!

Also, a little trivia- The Fire Dojo opening marked the first time ever that Fellys could see the hilly area of the island, which today includes rooms like the Lighthouse Cliff, Ninja District, and all of the other dojos!

Now, let's jump ahead 4 years later...

July 19th, 2016

On July 19th, 2016, the Cave Expedition was going on alongside the Prehistoric Party, where a bunch of underground rooms other than the Coin Cave and Laboratory were finally opening up! The next room opened this day, being the Mineshaft!

More rooms were frozen at the Prehistoric Party, as Dusk continued his evil scheme to reset The Island to it's frozen days by going back in time and simply moving a rock. Fortunately, the community stopped him and The Island was saved!

Other than that, nothing much happened on this day, so those two years on this day stand out a lot! The next time there's a July 19th on a Tuesday, since The Island only updates on Tuesdays, is 2022, so who knows, perhaps next year will be something cool like these!
