Heya' Fellys!
Today is January 10th- which marks 10 years since The Island's wiki debuted on January 10th, 2012!
We will be looking back at some old backgrounds and wordmarks to celebrate the 10th anniversary, prepare for a real throwback! Let's get started!
The first background was made and published to the wiki on March 12th, 2012. The wiki was a dark theme, with the logo on the right, and a Green Crab on the left. For some reason, I left in the Wikia section at the top!
This background was published on March 23rd, and, fun fact, it didn't even last through April Fools! There was, however, another background for April Fools' coming up.
On March 28th, 2012, the wiki background changed to something more... interesting!
This was the background of the wiki for just one day, March 28th to be exact. The interesting thing is, it shows the entire wiki's activity page on that day, with edits made to the April Fools' Party 2012! If that's not a cool throwback, I don't know what is!
I finally realized that I was putting the wikia header in the background and finally removed it for the wiki's April Fools' background on March 29. Fun fact, this is the first drawing of Crazy-Al!
You 2012 lovers will surely adore this one.
This was the official background of the wiki throughout 2012, up until December of that year. It was basic, showing the Green Crab behind the page, with a Felly and a Red Crab on the sides, as well as a sidewalk, and water!
The wiki background would remain the same up until December 5th, 2012, when it was changed to a more modern look, and this one was seen all throughout 2013! Here is a gallery of the 2013 wiki backgrounds when a party was ongoing:
There are many more backgrounds to talk about, so stay tuned for part 2 of the post coming soon, which will have more backgrounds and wordmarks! Until then, we still need to talk about the first few original wiki wordmarks!
Here was the first ever wordmark for the wiki, which didn't even last a day.
It was replaced with the April Fools' one on March 23rd, 2012!
And then the Crab Party one on March 29th.
On May 10th, 2012, the wordmark was changed to this- Nothing too special with it, quite unfitting nowadays, yeah?
Luckily, on December 5th, 2012, the wordmark was once again changed to a more modern design!

Oh, and if you visit The Island's wiki from January 10th - 13th, you will notice that it has been fit with a throwback look to it to mark the special occasion!
