Heya' Fellys!
Just like last year, March is going to be considered Community Month on The Island! And this update is going to be HUGE, coming February 28th!
To celebrate the community & 12 years of The Island, this update will introduce many new features and bug fixes that will benefit this community & make The Island a smoother playing experience!
First, your profile picture will be seen at the top left of all rooms. From there, you can access your playercard/islander menu to change your profile quicker! The option to open the My Islander box from the menu itself will still be available.
Second, Archipelago will return! This was a removed feature from a couple of years ago, it was introduced as The Island's very own social media back in March 2021, and was removed just 7 months later. The social media will officially return and will look much better, and will very much be improved in any way possible so you all can communicate with each other!
Third, the chat box will be slightly changed- The chat feature will be renamed to "Community", and will get a slight new look, but no other major changes will be made, no worries!
Fourth, new tips will be introduced when you first log in, such as an image on-screen showing how the page size should look. If your monitor is not the right size, you have to zoom out to see all the buttons, so this should help!
Fifth, there will be many bug fixes & quality of life changes such as fonts being fixed in several rooms, the underground map telling you where your Islander is so you don't get lost, door fixes, new themes, new sounds, and much more!
Finally, Islanders will see the arrival of the long awaited Token Fishing minigame at the River Park!
On this same day, The Island Mobile will receive a huge revamp and will feature all rooms, all the room's features, and much more!
